Fxcursion Train. There will be excursion trains on all the railroads leading into this city on Thursday, Friday and Sat urdav of this week, so that all who want to come here on business or pleasure on those days, may be I ac cpmmodated. The price of tickets will be one fare for the round trip, which is certainly cheap enough. There will undoubtedly be a large number of people, both ladies and gentlemen, who will come to the city on those days and we can as sure them that our merchants will be happy to serve them, at fair prices. City . Court. There was a formidable docket for the Mayor's consideration this morning, the investigation of wb.ich occupied the larger portion of the forenoon. The following wrere the proceedings: . . Alice Reedr colored, charged with disorderly conduct. A nol pro was entered in her case as it was one of mistaken identify. India Davis, colored, disorderly conduct, continued from yesterday The defendant submitted and was required to pay a fine q $1J) or work 20 days in the chain gang1, u Ella Gregory, colored drunk and disorderly. She was a hard case and the judgment of the Court was $20 fine or 30 days in the chain gang. L. Johnson, a countryman with too much whiskey, was drunk and disorderly, and the judgment of the Court was $10 fine or 20 days in the city prison. Charles Bailey, colored, larceny, was bound over to the next term of the Criminal Court in a justified bond of $100, in default of which he was committed. G. Sanders, J. Brown, J. Green, C. Epps, J. Leonard, S. McKoy, Z. Howe, W. Love and J. Ivey were then arraigned upon the charge of gambling at W. H. Howe's place last Sunday morning. There was no evidence against J. Leonard, Z. Howe, W. Love and J. Ivey, and they were discharged. The evidence against the others was such that they were required to give a justi fied bond in the sum of $50 each for their appearance at the next term of the Criminal Court. The "defend ants were ably defended by Mr. J. D. Bellamy, Jr. W. H. Howe, colored, charged with keeping a gambling house, knowing it to be such, was required to give a justified bond in the sum of $200 for his appearance at the next term of the Criminal Court. He also was defended by Mr. J. D. Bellamy, Jr. Judgment nisi, with $50 forfeiture, was ordered to be entered against C. Epps, one of the defendants in the foregoing case, who failed to appear.
